Background

Dr. Storberg-Walker received her Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota in 2004. Her dissertation was entitled “Towards a Theory of Human Capital Transformation through Human Resource Development.” Prior to attending the University of Minnesota, she held a variety of human resource positions at Deloitte & Touche and Deloitte Consulting. During her fourteen year career at Deloitte, she held national and global human resource leadership positions, and was a part of the team that helped Deloitte earn a #8 ranking of “Best Places to Work in the United States” in 1999.

Dr. Storberg-Walker began a small human resource consulting practice in Minnesota after leaving Deloitte, and her target clients were non-profit organizations in the Southeastern Minnesota area. Some organizations she served included a women’s shelter, an area United Way, a city government, and a community and technical college. Dr. Storberg-Walker will continue that practice as she settles in to the Raleigh, North Carolina area.

At home, Dr. Storberg-Walker enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and gardening. Her favorite pastime in Minnesota was snowshoeing—as a new North Carolinian she is currently in search of a new activity.
