Background

Paula has worked as an educator and consultant in a variety of industries including higher education, manufacturing, healthcare, jewelry and pharmaceuticals. Her educational background includes a Doctorate of Education in Training and Development from North Carolina State University, a Master's in Health Education and Bachelor's in Health Planning and Administration both from The Pennsylvania State University. She is currently the Distance Learning Coordinator for the North Carolina Community College System.

Research

Dr. Berardinelli's research interests are in impact evaluation and transfer of training. She has worked with organizations to develop assessment and evaluation systems for a variety of learning initiatives. Paula is currently working on several impact assessment projects as well as collaborating on a multi-disciplinary project investigating the HEART of on-line learning.

Service

Paula has served as a member of the Board of the Research Triangle Chapter of ASTD and the Health Promoter's Network. She co-founded the Triangle Chapter of SIETAR (Society of Intercultural Education, Training and Research). Paula has participated in several international exchanges with the North Carolina Center for International Understanding and co-lead an exchange to Indonesia.
